Hosanna Church
is about love

to God, to the world, to one another

The history of
our church

For over 25 years, we’ve been helping the people of Lviv discover Christ, grow in their faith, and step into the world ready to serve. The church was founded after the Hosanna Festival in 1999, which is where our name comes from.

The Church during
the war

Церква під час війни

Since the start of the full-scale war, over 2,000 people have passed through our church. Some stayed overnight, while others stayed longer. We provided beds and everything they needed within our facility.

Through the church, we’ve distributed nearly 4,000 tons of humanitarian aid, mainly food, hygiene supplies, blankets, and mattresses, to internally displaced people and residents of occupied territories.

Thanks to the church, more than 60 vehicles were made available for evacuation. As a result, volunteers have helped over 40,000 people leave dangerous areas.

We opened a crisis center to assist pregnant women, most of whom were forced to temporarily leave their homes. The city built two housing projects for them, which the church now manages and cares for.

The church will not stop serving the community, especially in wartime. We aim to continue providing vehicles, supporting displaced people, and meeting urgent needs.

We dream of seeing
in Lviv

We love our city very much and strive to respond to the needs of the people around us in the best way possible. We believe that the church is called to be proactive in society.

Healthy and
strong families

We provide pre-marriage consultations, have a family home group for anyone interested, organise themed retreats, and are eager to support every family.

Mature and proactive
young people

We connect with young people in Lviv through the "REVERSE" project, which aims to help the next generation find Christ and become ministers who change the world.

People in need
warmed by care.

We provide food to those in need through social services, develop the ‘Save a Life’ project for pregnant IDPs, bring generators and humanitarian aid from abroad, etc.

How to obtain
salvation

Human Sin

God gave people free will and the freedom to choose. This means we can follow His commandments or choose to go our own way. This choice made by Adam and Eve led to a separation between God and humanity. The result of turning away from God is spiritual, eternal death.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 3:23

Christ

Even though mankind has turned their backs on God, He still loves us and wants us to know Him. There is only one spiritual bridge that can span the gap separating humanity from God: Jesus Christ.
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8

Your Response

Christ made it possible for us to cross the gap and has secured a place for us with God. However, we don’t automatically end up “on the other side”, we must repent of our sin and invite Jesus Christ into our lives.
"Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God."

– John 1:12
